Dream - 28/11/2008

I had a dream this morning.
I dreamt that there was a window before me. I was in some sort of room, and two people outside the room were opening that window to let me out. I spread out my wings, and flew through that window.
Beyond the window, and the buildings I'd just left, was a vast grassy meadow extending to the horizon. To the right, a vast cliff and a mountain thousands of feet high. I flew up that cliff face, reaching the top - on which sat a city, with streets and bridges and structures and living quarters, all deserted.
Just before reaching the top, there was a layer of topsoil and small ledges. A pair of young fox cubs were stranded on one of the ledges; they climbed into my arms as I passed, and I released them to the safety of their home as soon as I reached the top.
As I said, the whole city was deserted, all but for feral animals wandering among the structures. I spotted two filthy and bedraggled cats, and took them into one of the structures; there was plenty of clean water, which I used to clean the cats up with (they were too weak to resist).
After feeding them, checking their teeth and claws and looking them over for injuries - and determining that they were both female and possibly related, as in mother and daughter - I released them both back into the wild.
At that point, I woke up.
