Today and Tonight

Earlier today I bumped into a friend of mine, John Oakes. Apparently he is heading off to the United States in the next few days, for a twelve week stay with his girlfriend. I wish him all the very best of luck. :)
And now for tonight's agenda. I'm going to finish the night with baked beans served with pitta bread, and then off to bed earlyish, perhaps with this little laptop in tow so I can write some more of the Fourth Rewrite. I had an idea for a plot twist at the end of what I'm doing, which of course has ramifications for the future of the story and takes it in directions I never imagined the previous Rewrites to have gone. But that is actually a good thing.
I also have time, now, to enjoy looking through Night Stalkers for Hunter: the Vigil while I'm in bed tonight.
When did I turn into someone who thinks nothing of reading about vampires in bed at night? The contents of half the books I have on my bookshelf would send most Mundanes running away, screaming, calling the police. After all, these are the books most defense solicitors usually state are on the bookshelves of those wack job morons who kill old people, cut out and boil their hearts and drink their victims' blood.
And damn me ... not only do I read "these kinds of books": I've written for them, too.
Huh. How about that?
All this talk about cooking's making me hungry, now.
