Mum told me today of The Day that, for her, The Earth Stood Still. It was not long after my birth. She'd brought me home, and was washing me, when she just happened to count my toes.
All nine of them.
When she realised, for her everything went deathly still.
The doctor told her "At least you'll always be able to identify him." :D
So I guess the theme tune for the movie is probably more apposite than you could possibly know ...
