"I won't leave this restaurant! I won't leave this restaurant! I won't leave this restaura - ant!" - Spandau Ballet, I Don't Need This Pressure On, some time later

There are others I have misheard over the years. One, in particular, is right on the tip of my damned tongue right now, but hell if I can't recall it.

@Nige, remember "Stand On Your Liver?" Someone misheard is as "Stab in Your Liver" the other day in town, much to my amusement.

I can't claim credit for the title - you may recall that it came from an exclamation of Worzel Gummidge in the "Look-In" comic strip version of that show.

I claim the rest, though. I'm still kicking myself that I never sent those lyrics to The Barron Knights - could have been a nice little entry into showbiz! I've only written parodies of folk songs since.

There's an Norwegian band called Pride And Fall who have a song called "December" (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzmsfZNHQ3M). I defy anyone to listen to it without hearing the title line as "We are into samba" :-)
