I just learned that the late Farrah Fawcett was born in Corpus Christi.

Now that, I never knew. And if you told me, [livejournal.com profile] nyghtshayde, I clearly did not retain that knowledge.

You learn something new every day.

I might have told you...

...but if I did, I don't remember. But yeah, she graduated from one of the high schools here and I've even seen her senior high year book.

And while I'm at it, Marc Singer? He wasn't born here, but his sister Lori was (if I remember correctly), and they lived here for several years with their parents.

Lou Diamond Phillips is from Corpus, too.

Lou Diamond Phillips! Wow. :) Brilliant. He's a cool actor.

Heh. By comparison, Wrexham has one saint, one Hanging Judge and the guy who came over to the US and founded Yale.

Oh, and one Plainclothes Clown. :)

Oh yeah. He's a good actor. Robert came really close one Christmas to meeting LDP because he'd gone into the store my brother worked for to buy something for his parents. But Robert was up in the warehouse still at that time instead of at the register, so he missed out. :(

And by far, the Plainclothes Clown is far more interesting than the other two. :)

Sweet. :) (Though I'm not such a huge fan of her - she's all over the TV with her incessant L'Oreal cosmetic ads these days, and she's getting a bit overexposed here :) !)

Rip Torn, the guy who played Zed in MIB is from my hometown. He's even come to a homecoming game or two since he got big. :D

Fantastic. :)

Rip comes up with one of the best lines in Men in Black, when he addresses the rejected candidates: "Gentlemen, congratulations. You're everything we've come to expect from years of government training."
