The Proffwyd gene.

Some of our family have carried a predilection towards somewhat occult leanings. Some of us have been prone to visions, or similar uncanniness. The manifestation of the Proffwyd blood tends to skip a generation, but sadly the madness does not.

And I got both.

Fortunately, I live in somewhat more tolerant times than my forebears, else this blog would be getting written from the inside of a sanitarium.

Or, most likely, not written at all.

And to think that other people get passed down something that they have. I got passed down something that I am.

I didn't know that that gene could be passed on. I have heard from older family members who loved to whisper in the kitchen about such things but I wrote them off as being silly and what not.This is very interesting to say the least.
