Today was not so crap.

I managed to shuttle back and forth between the folks' and my place a number of times today. I had to deliver some stuff to the folks', and some stuff from the folks' back home to my flat. I'd brought along a number of big, heavy books with me over the weekend up at t' folks' over the weekend, and I was just bringing them all back home at last.

I'd spent £9.50 buying a weekly ticket yesterday, and got £5.40 out of it. Today, I managed to get £8.10 out of the ticket - which means it's paid for itself and then some, a total of £13.50 spent on it to date. The last couple of journeys on the bus today were, in effect, gratis and for nothing.

I still have tomorrow, Friday, Saturday and Monday's journeys to be done.

I could take the Number 7 and go all the way around the houses, or head up to Coedpoeth and grab a takeaway from up there. It would cost me the same as if I were to go from King Street to Eagles Meadow via Queens' Park (for non-Wrexhamites, the equivalent of starting in the kitchen and ending up at the front door by circuiting the back garden twice and climbing over the roof).

I have very little in the way of money, but that's okay, because most of the cash I spend in a given week comes from the bus fares. So I've got a remarkable amount of loose change in my pocket.

And, most of all, the word count on my project now stands tonight at 47,100. I'll add to that again later. Right now, supper beckons.

In total, a day less than crap. :)
