Welcome to this year's Caganerwatch!
This year's topic will be bizarre Xmas decorations and customs which have some sort of vague basis in history - and which have no connection whatsoever to the Big Names of St Nick, Coca Cola, and the usual suspects who turn up at this time of year and flood the airwaves with drivel.
It's two days early - I'd planned on a Dec 01 launch - but something has cropped up early, and I thought I'd share.
The link below comes courtesy of
kayleighraven, a LJ friend who only befriended me recently, so therefore is unlikely to have heard of caganers - certainly not from me. And this link refers to the custom:
kayleighraven seems to have witnessed one such already.
History Of The Upside - Down Xmas Tree

Oh, and of course any news links you may find on caganers.
Menja bé, caga fort, i no tinguis por a la mort!
