The list will be broken up and the contents of each list, memorised by selected priests, will be sent to all four corners of the world not long after Urbi et Orbi. This is the 2010 update to the Malleus Maleficarum's list of enemies to locate and destroy.
Some time tomorrow morning, a staked Kindred will be left in a roofless chamber for the tender embrace of the sun. Padre Ambrogio will emerge from that chamber at noon, his thirst slaked for another month.
Milan: An extremely beautiful, incredibly old woman will receive a telephone call on a mobile phone whose number is known to a handful of humans on Earth, all of whom have a common lineage. The call will come from someone who also shares that genetic lineage.
The caller will not be human.
Washington: The head of the Stearne Steering Committee, his back still smarting from the whipping his houseboys gave him the night before, will receive a phone call from the mole in the Malleus who happens to have seen the entire 2010 list. He will listen for a few moments, then get his secretary to open an email. The list is comprehensive.
The Stearne Steering Committee Director will add a half dozen new names to the list, then split it up and submit parts of that list to Stearne - certified Task Force: VALKYRIE regional Directors. These Directors will know more about the list than the Malleus will - those Malleus agents bearing the list will still be on the planes.
In another part of Washington, an Ascending One will consult the Ephemeris for the day, the hour, the minute. The Ephemeris contains the planetary positions for Chiron, Charon, Ceres, Eris, Dysnomia and Quauor. It was compiled in 1215 AD in a nameless desert city which does not exist on any human map.
Egypt: A scholar of the Aegis Kai Doru will bump into a solitary hunter he has never seen before. An ancient stone door, 3,500 years old, has turned up that was originally intended to be an entrance to the Underworld. This stranger will receive a mobile phone call, despite the area having zero mobile coverage.
The call will come from Milan. Offer full cooperation.
New York: Dr Burkhard Charteris, MD will wake up after a long night. He has spent the past seventeen hours dissecting a Kindred to obtain the secrets of its immortality.
Burkhard Charteris will have slept the night like a baby.
