DWP Interview Today

I had an interview with the Department of Works and Pensions today, to see how I was getting on with my search for a job. All in all, a very positive and uplifting interview - I retained a sense of pervasive and infectious enthusiasm throughout, and it kind of rubbed off on the interviewer.
Anyway, she furnished me with a couple of leads I had not even thought of ... and as a result, once I have taken care of my A4e meeting tomorrow, I'll take her up on them and make arrangements - if not to see them there and then, certainly to make arrangements for initial interviews with them some time after Christmas, if not first thing in the New Year.
As I told the interviewer, whose name eludes me, I have learned to adapt over these past four years or more. And now, I have had to adapt yet again - and optimism and maintaining a positive attitude would seem to be my strongest adaptations under the current change in my circumstances.
She allowed me to continue with my current Jobseeker's Agreement and jobsearch criteria unaltered. For now. Whatever it takes to keep me from being forced into an official Goverment orange jumpsuit, pushing a broom along the street alongside convicted drug dealers and paedophiles or whatever.
